Pulau Melaka is going to be the site for a new and bigger eye on Malaysia, the like of previous the 62 meter eye on malaysia.

The new ferris wheel set to replace the eye on Malaysia will be erected on Pulau Melaka by a local company, Melaka Wonderland Sdn Bhd. The new wheel will a a bigger one with 85 meter in diameter from China.

The decision to locate at the new location of Pulau Melaka was made as the earlier location at Kota Laksamana was near the heritage buffer zone. One of the condition of the heritage is, the construction will require approval and normally it would take one or two years to get the approval.

The earlier project was removed by the Belgian owner last year when the Malaysian Company MST Ad Suria owned the company for about RM18mil debt.

Malacca has developed to be one of the popular tourist attractions.It took advantage of its rich historic past. One the popular colonial spot is the Dutch Square, where the set up the stadthuys and a clock tower. They had also built a church next to it.
