flower of Bukit Tinggi

Bukit Tinggi is situated about 40 minutes drive from Kuala Lumpur the capital of Malaysia. The hill resort promises of cool weather is the weekend retreat for the city dwellers. The cooler climate allows some of the temperate flowers to be grown.

One of the attraction of Bukit Tinggi is the Japanese garden. We we and took some pictures.


The above are a kind of bananas. It grows wild in the jungle in Malaysia. It is beautiful and distinctly red. The flowers produce a type of nectar favored by the local humming birds.
