Jungle trekking at cameron highland opens up new opportunities to learn about the rich tropical flora and fauna. The 2 hour walk along the trail the visitors will be shown some of the fauna and flora that are unique to the highland of malaysia. The trail is open between 10 to 3 pm.

The trail was a headline about 40 years ago with the disappearance of Jim Thompson, an American entrepreneur in 1967. He set out on the mid afternoon stroll, and lost without a trace.

Wild ginger is one of the common plant that can be found in abundance in the jungle.

Attractions of Cameron Highland.

Cameron Highland is one of the first resort built in Malaysia by the colonial British. The British was so used to the cool climate of their home country and wanted something similar to the feeling of home. So they were searching for a suitable highland.

Now, it is a tourist center, with developed farming activities for vegetable and some of the temperate fruits.

a. The Boh tea plantation is worth visiting with mile after miles of beautiful tea plantation on the undulating landscape.

b. The strawberry plantation attract curiosity of the tropical population. There are farms that offer the 'pick your own berry' .

There are two routes to Cameron Highland, The old road near Tapah will take you through a winding landscape where you can see the traditional village and the villages of the aborigines.
