Lake Garden or also known as taman tasik perdana is the oldest garden built in kuala lumpur. The garden had shrank in size as many new development and buildings had sprouted.

The idea was mooted in 1888 to convert the piece of swamp area to garden. It was launched by the second prime minister Tun Razak in 1975 and later name was changed during Mahathirs time to Taman Tasik Perdana.

The green space in the urban are is necessary for the community. For this reason an upgrade exercise is being conducted to transform it to a magnificent lake. The transformation exercise will involve:

Planting about 1,500 trees and cleaning the lakes. The phase 2 include the building of souvenir shops and play ground.

Location: It is at the center of Kuala Lumpur. Walking distant from The old railway station.

The lake garden contains more than just a garden. The followings are the attractions:

1. The birds park.
2. butterfly park
3. planetarium
4. the war memorial.
5. The malaysian parliament

At the edge of the park, you can visit the national mosque and the Islamic museum.
