A new theme park is being constructed at Balik Pulau in Penang will be a new icon for Penang Tourism. It will be built at Teluk Bahang, in Balik Pulau, situated on the west coast of Penang. The west coast is the lesser developed areas and it is intended that the park will help to create opportunities for the people in the area.
In a different location, The Penang Festival is being held to attract more tourist and a permanent ground had been built at Sungai Nibong. Multinational dances were organised to entertain the visitors.
